How to Find, Research and Evaluate Potential Residual Income Programs

How to Find, Research and Evaluate Potential Residual Income Programs
Copyright © Dock J. Murphy
http://www.GlobalWealthDJM.com

Finding programs that offer the potential for residual income is easy to do. A simple search with most any search engine will bring you literally millions of websites that will clamor for your attention. Yet when it comes to finding just the right program for you, individually, suddenly the ease of finding what you are looking for is somewhat curtailed. Yet do not despair, how to research and evaluate potential residual income programs is a questions that can be answered in detail!

First and foremost, take an inventory of your interests and then seek for programs that seem to be the closest matches. Remember that the more interest you have in a program the more likely you are to dedicate time and effort to make it work and thus the more likely you will be to make money with residual income.

Next, find a product that will provide you with the revenue stream you can live with. Some will have a steady income potential, while others are seasonal and thus will have spikes when income will be markedly high only to taper off for months at a time. Riding out the lows and profiting off the highs is vital to making money with these programs, if you are able to ride out the lows. Those unable to find a steady income stream that matches their expectations may wish to consider signing up for more than one opportunity, thus generating a number of income streams.

A vital step surprisingly overlooked by the majority of those in search for the most promising residual income programs is the market research. You do not need to commission fancy studies, but instead conduct your own market research for any given product you are thinking of making the main staple of your online endeavor to see if the market is already heavily saturated with others selling the same or a similar product of this kind. If this is the case, you will be wise to move on to something else instead.

As you research residual income potential, you will find that services – rather than products – have one of the highest potential for generating residuals. Whether you are selling insurance products or financial services, the fact that consumers who purchase such services usually develop a severe case of company loyalty works decidedly in your favor and you can count on much repeat business in the future.

Shifting gears, you may consider the product side of the equation by taking a close look at wholesaling. This is a highly competitive field, which in some cases might be a risk, but also one where you have the chance of making a lot of money if you are closely tied in to the consumer trends of the current market conditions and ensure that you have the wares to sell to retailers ahead of the trends.

It is evident that residual income opportunities abound online, and for those inclined to do so, these types of business opportunities will at times also translate well into an offline kind of business!

How to Write a Keyword Article

How to Write a Keyword Article
Copyright © Dock J. Murphy
http://www.GlobalWealthDJM.com

There is a lot of talk these days about using keyword articles to attract visitors to a website and with the growing use of article marketing, there seems to be some benefit to using this method in a company's marketing plan. There is also some confusion about the use of keywords as well as what they are and what they mean to a website owner.

First of all, keywords are those entered into a search engine by an internet user who is looking for specific information. They may not know exactly what they are looking for but, they know what they want. For example, if a person is looking for home improvement tips about replacing ceramic floor tile, they have the option of entering many different search terms, which really is what keywords are all about.

They may enter the term 'replace ceramic floor' or simply enter 'ceramic floor' and start looking at the search results pages for the information they can use. Terms such as 'replacement floors' or 'replacement ceramics' may also be used and business owners will have no idea what terms the user will look for and when beginning their search most users rarely find what they want on the first few tries. Unless, there is an article somewhere that uses that exact phrase.

Typically, an article will contain a specific search term between four and 12 times, depending on the length of the article and the search time needs to be placed in the article so that the writing remains grammatically correct and the phrase is a natural order as though it belongs there and not used simply to use it. Unfortunately, some websites will use what is termed keyword stuffing, which uses the phrase 30 or 40 times in a four or 500 word article, which is a turn off for the search engines and really offers nothing useful to the web searcher.

Articles need to offer some value to the person conducting the search. If the company that sells replacement ceramic tile can produce a series of articles on the best way to remove the old tile, remove the old glue or cement from the surface, how to prepare the surface for new tile and other areas about the subject, they will provide valuable information that can draw visitors to their site where they may actually buy the tile.

These articles can be published on their own website on pages dedicated to helping potential customers learn how to replace the tile. They can also be published on homeowner remodeling sites as tips for others. One thing that articles cannot do is advise the readers to visit a specific site or a specific business. This is unacceptable to search engines as well as to other web ezine publishers.

All published articles can have an author's biography giving the author credit for the article as well as outline their competence in the subject matter. The block on these articles could talk about their experience level in ceramic tile replacement and the years they have been involved in the business as well as mention they operate a business at the website location, including a hot link

How to Learn the Secret to Internet Success

How to Learn the Secret to Internet Success
Copyright © Dock J. Murphy
http://www.GlobalWealthDJM.com

How many times have you seen the sales pitch that someone has unlocked the secret to internet success? Probably more than once. Now for a fee, they want to share the secret with you. Why? To get your money, of course and in order to get your money back, you can share the same secret with others. Consider how many people now have that secret and you can begin to wonder how many people are left in the dark.

In reality, there is no secret to achieving internet success. It takes hard work and a complete understanding of how making money on the internet works. It begins by having a product or service that people want or need and are willing to pay for it and continues with how you get the word out that you have it for sale. Prior to the explosion of internet use, it was called advertising and for all intents and purposes, the same methods used then are used today to make sales.

The internet however has made it possible for people to sell things without actually delivering what you have paid for and too many people fall into the trap. No person of reasonable intelligence will send someone money expecting nothing in return, but there are some folks who will send out money hoping they get something back. When it does not happen, they chalk it up to experience and look for something else. If you are that type of person, there are a lot of people in the world who would be willing to sell you a bridge or two. Don't worry. You can get your money back by reselling the bridge to someone else.

If that sounds far fetched, consider some of the offers you have received in your in box. You can spend a lot of time reading the email and then click on to their website and read some more, never really knowing exactly what you will receive when you send in your money. After you pay the fee, you may receive an instant download explaining how you too, can convince others to send you money. You then send out the same email selling others the exact same information.

Very similar to sending a self-address stamped envelope and a couple of dollars to learn how to make money stuffing envelopes. You receive instructions on how to place the same advertisement inviting others to send you a couple of buck in a self-addressed stamped envelope so you can send them the same information. And the offers continue to be advertised, but few complain because after all it was only a couple of bucks.

The real secret to making money on the internet is there is no secret. It is done the same way as it has been done for centuries. Delivering on promises of goods or services and treating your customers with the respect they deserve will provide an income whether online or off line. Goods and services sell far better than promises.

Determine to Make Financial Goals Part of Your Business Vision

Determine to Make Financial Goals Part of Your Business Vision
Copyright © Dock J. Murphy
http://www.GlobalWealthDJM.com

Failure to accurately see the financial future of your business is one sure way to make sure it cannot succeed. Before you even begin to write your business plan, regardless of the type of business, you will need to have an accurate vision of what your personal financial needs will be once you start your own venture. You cannot base you needs on your current earnings, as there are other factors to calculate into the total such as health insurance, business licenses and other business-related costs.

While some of the costs will be one-time fees or will represent annual costs, other will be monthly and some cases weekly. The first step is to determine what you and your family needs to meet your obligations including rent or mortgage payments, utilities, food and typical household expenses. If your spouse is the one handling the family's financial affairs you will need their input in determining your minimal monetary needs.

Once you have that in writing, you can begin estimating business costs. Even though you are setting up an office in the home and plan to take a business use of the home tax deduction, you should still consider the portion of the rent and utilities that will be represented by your tax deduction as a business expense. For example, if your monthly mortgage payment is $1,000 and you can allow 10 percent of house expense as a deduction, then plan on $100 being spent on your place of business.

The same should be planned for utilities and other costs, including a telephone line. Even though you probably have a home phone, a separate line for the business is a good idea to prevent interruptions at home after hours as well as to keep children from answering the phone when a potential client calls. It just sends a more professional message when the business phone is answered in a business manner.

Conservative estimates can be a good starting point, but you will also need a contingency fund in the event of an unforeseen repair or a project that gets out of hand and costs more than anticipated. Once you have gong through the home and business expenses you will have a good idea of how much money you have to bring in through the business to maintain your family lifestyle and meet your business expenses.

Now it is time to seriously think about the projected income of the business. Remember it is not only the business expenses you need to cover. For example, if you anticipate personal expenses of $1,500 a month and business expenses of $500 a month, anything less that $2,000 a month is going to leave you with some unpaid bills. If the business you are planning to open is not capable of delivering that amount of income, you may have to rethink your prospects.

Even if the potential is there for a minimum of $2,000 per month, you will need to be realistic about how long the business will need to be operating before that level is achieved and determine if you have enough money to survive until it does grow to the necessary level.

How to Make Business Decisions Based on Facts Not Emotions

How to Make Business Decisions Based on Facts Not Emotions
Copyright © Dock J. Murphy
http://www.GlobalWealthDJM.com

Running a business can be fun, but many successful business owners have come to a tough realization that in a business environment, they have no friends. They have employees that are dedicated to the company and they may have customers that are loyal, but the bottom line of the business is the prime concern they have to watch. One of the biggest obstacles they face in the say to day business operations is their own emotions and they need to leave them at home when they head for the office.

For instance, a business owner is approached by their financial expert who tells them they have to cut half of their workers loose in order to meet expenses. This can be an emotional time for the owner as on one hand, many of the workers are loyal to the company and are very productive. On the other hand the company needs to be able to run leaner to make ends meet.

Simply based on the emotions of keeping the business operating, the solution may seem obvious in cutting half the workforce. However, before making that call the owner needs to look at all the facts and not just the financial ones. Questions need to be asked such as how long wills this lack of income last. If we layoff employees, how much will be spent on unemployment compensation? What are other options in cutting expenses, such as is the finance guy really necessary?

If half of the workforce is let go, what will be the effect on productivity and customer service and will the remaining employees be able to handle everything without the additional help? After thoroughly understanding all of the available options and the effects of instituting any suggested changes it is found that half will need to be let go, then that is the right decision for everyone.

Decisions have to be based on how the outcome will affect everyone involved and not just the ones being laid off. Sure, it is a tough decision but one of the responsibilities of a business owner is being able to make the tough calls, knowing it is the right one for the business as well as for the remaining workers. Unfortunately, there is no hard and fast rule about which employees will need to go away. Seniority may be the deciding factor, but some businesses use productivity instead.

For example, a new hire may produce as much or more as an employee with several years experience, the new hire may be a better fit. Owners should never look at payroll as a deciding factor as getting rid of some of the higher paid, long-term employees is also getting rid of loyalty as well as experience.

The decision should be based on who can offer the most to the business, a decision based on facts rather than the emotions of who needs the job more. From a cold fact point of view, if the worker needs the job that bad, they have probably been a consistently hard, productive asset to the company.

The Important of the Main Idea for an Internet Business Plan Development

The Important of the Main Idea for an Internet Business Plan Development
Copyright © Dock J. Murphy
http://www.GlobalWealthDJM.com

Every business venture, regardless of its venue or its objective, begins with a basic idea, the simpler the better. Focus and expansion are much easier from the get-go this way. Most importantly, this serves as the business foundation, without which the business couldn't manage or even exist. The main idea is the root of the entire business.

Where does this idea [usually] come from? Several sources are possible: a television show, radio broadcast, a song, a piece of literature, social issues, politics, the ongoing development of technology, an art style, research, a personal experience, a movie, a child's imagination, hearsay or conversation, even an innovation brought about through necessity, such as a means to make home chores more convenient. Whatever the case, this idea should be unique and boast a twist that allows the idea to stand out on its own in the merchandising and marketing fields that it represents. In the end, this idea must be flexible and open enough to growth in a variety of ways.

The first step to developing the main premise of the business venture one the basic is established is to conduct research in the given field in order to ascertain the current goings-on so that the direction of the business, even the nature of the idea itself, is innovative enough to promote an aspect of the industry that hasn't yet been touched or explored. In this way, the business has room to move and reduces the threat of competition, especially those opposing ventures that are very persistent. Even if the competition does eventually incorporate such developments in relation to the new aspect, the business that had started it will be forever known as the leader in the creation of a sub-industry that would significantly expand an already existing one. This distinction is one of the major goals behind the main idea and should be considered right away so that it is not overlooked.

The data found through the research, then, allows the business owners to progress from there. That information determines the further direction of the business necessary to keep it on its particular path so it doesn't delve too far into the premise of another related business venture. This phase of plan development involves any modifications that are necessary to adjust the details of the main idea so that its uniqueness remains prominent. This research ultimately specifies and clarifies the ongoing purpose of the business.

The idea copyright and registration come next and is critical so that the business owner is protected legally. If she or he isn't and her or his idea is stolen and used by someone else, the venture is over. Also established here are the Mission Statement, Philosophy, and procedural policies. The identity of the new business and its particular role in both the industry and the general business world begin to emerge.

At this point, the idea can go in any direction. This is where the business website is designed and laid out in meticulously detailed plan that will assist in its creation. The idea, which had earlier begun as a mere mental abstraction, now becomes physical reality.

How to Make a Decision to Start Full or Part Time

How to Make a Decision to Start Full or Part Time

Whenever a person is looking at starting their own business, money and time are two areas that can make the decision a tough choice. On the one hand, leaving the current job is more than a leap of faith in their abilities and the viability of their business plan it is also a high gamble on the finances of their family. Unless there is already a waiting list for their product or services, it can take some time before the income from the new venture is enough to meet all of their business and personal expenses.

Most people who start a new business pour the majority of their money back into the business and usually only pay themselves as much as they need to get by. Unfortunately, for many new businesses there may not be enough initial income to meet all of their personal obligations as well as business expenses. Even if the business is located inside the home, there will still be money needed for many areas of its operation.

It really comes down to a simple question of whether to hang onto their old job and start the new on a part-time basis or, if they have sufficient savings to make the full-time plunge. Understanding that if they decide to pursuer the avenue of a full-time business, their savings is not going to last forever and at some point they may have to find another job to support their family if the business does not begin to progress as planned.

Depending on the type of business being started, it may not be possible to begin part-time, and some service industry businesses will need to be available on a regular schedule. However, that does not mean it cannot be started part-time, with the new owner making contacts to look for their first customer. A common mistake among new business owners is having no idea where their first customer will come from and once they do have their first client, how to translate that into referrals for more work.

One advantage some new service industry businesses may have is being able to offer the services during hours traditionally not met by existing businesses. Companies that work during the day may charge a premium for their services if they have to be performed after traditional hours. A person working in the industry full-time may be able to add customers who also work during the day and need the services performed in the evening. This can be an availability niche to help get a new business off the ground.

Starting the business on a part-time schedule is going to be a two-edged sword in that the owner will be putting in extra hours working in the odd hours. However, if they dedicate the income to the business and continue meeting personal expenses from their day job, they will be able to eventually make the switch to working in their business on a full-time basis, allowing it to grow to meet their financial needs.

How to Maintain Your Drive for a Home Business

How to Maintain Your Drive for a Home Business

It is a common misconception that a home business is a more lax and less complicated work environment. Yes you have more personal time, a more solitude workspace and you are the boss, but these factors are what can make a home business more work. You are the person who creates the driving force to accomplish tasks on time in an efficient manner at standards that are of the best quality. You no longer have someone over your shoulder to remind you of your deadlines. You no longer have someone to take a problem to allowing yourself one less hassle. You are the man or woman in charge of all things business good and bad. So how is it that so many home business entrepreneurs are able to get themselves up and about even on the worst home business days? Personal drive is the answer.

When you choose to work from home you have to understand that it is up to you to provide personal motivation and drive to continue to move forward even when your business seems to be at a standstill. You have to be willing to search and research your business from top to bottom when something is not quite right. In order to keep yourself fired up about your home business you have to find methods of self-motivation. Inspirational quotes, self determination to succeed, remembrance of how you felt about working an endlessly unsatisfactory job, these can all be methods put to use to keep your focus on moving your company towards success and never allowing yourself to see and accept failure as an option.

Sounds easy on paper, but when you look over your sales reports or order forms and see only the minimum customer interest it can be all too easy to become negative. You can begin to question if this venture is a mistake or if you have placed yourself in over your head. Be positive to stave off immediate failure, but also be realistic. Review your product thoroughly. Correct or improve your item. If this is not the concern then move your focus onto marketing and advertising. Where can this be rearranged for improvements? Do this on down the line until you begin to see your sale improve. If you still see struggling progress seek help. Search online for tips or read up on home business books. Seek a professional business counselor. Often review of a problem from fresh eyes can spot the trouble more rapidly. The key is not to give up without a fight. It’s your business, your dream and if you really want it go for it full throttle.

Perhaps you will even find yourself feeling burnt out at your home business. You may find that you need some time away. Take a weekend to enjoy yourself and to leave work out of your mind. Provide yourself with some space away from the office to assist you in a refreshing walk in order to reawaken yourself to your business. Time away can prepare you to face your business and all of its challenges with a second wind per say. This can often be a way to find and correct business concerns. Always remember to continue to move forward, do not give up and even if the roller coaster ride takes you down into the valley, you will eventually climb back up to success.

How to Leverage People in Your Home Business Marketing

In the world of online marketing there are a number of strategies that have been developed over the years that are strategies that are tried, tested and true when it comes to starting a home business. The only caveat that should be added to that statement is that some business marketing strategies will only work for certain niches, whereas others are good strategies to pursue in general. There are a couple of strategies that people use when they want to get their business off to a roaring start and these strategies can certainly have a much better chance of doing that than anything else currently being used as a marketing strategy so long as you do it right. These two strategies are known as affiliate marketing and network marketing. Take a look below to see what they can do for you!

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is absolutely the best way to get your business off to a strong start and this is primarily because you are leveraging the work of others and the time that they will spend to promote your business for you. In affiliate marketing, people that have nothing to do with your company, your business or your product will sell your product on your behalf in exchange for getting a cut of the profits. For example, on a major affiliate marketing website like Clickbank a typical product that is sold for $50 might give anywhere between $20 and $40 of that money to the affiliate that inspired the sale. This allows you to market on your own (for the full $50 per product) as well as enlist the help of others on the terms that you only pay them when they make a sale.

Some affiliate marketing programs will also allow your affiliates to recruit other affiliates to help out and this means that in addition to giving the affiliate that makes the sale a cut of the profits, a much smaller cut of the profits would also go to the affiliate that brought them into the product sale. This is also known as multi-level marketing and if you are someone that wants no part of multi-level marketing, it is important that you register your product either with an affiliate service that does not use it (like Clickbank for example) or that you simply do your own affiliate program on your own terms without help from any of the major affiliate services.

Network Marketing

Network marketing is very similar to affiliate marketing in the sense that network marketing allows you to recruit people to sell your products for you. The difference between network marketing and affiliate marketing is that network marketing usually has multiple products and multiple levels, whereas affiliate marketing usually refers to one product and one level. Network marketing is much more appropriate if you are planning to create a line of products that you would like people to sell and therefore building up your network of salesmen at the same time that you are creating the product lines is a good idea.

Leisure Audio Books Home Business Opportunity Review

Leisure Audio Books is working for me as I write!

I recently became a member of Leisure Audio Books, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

This is like nothing I have ever experienced before, I was shocked to find that is totally unique, never seen before, and I believe it to be revolutionary, and I'll explain why.

In my past experience, you join a typical program, they give you some cheesy promo tools, and they never say a word to you, they just expect you to go out and recruit as best you can on your own...

This is totally and utterly different.

First of all, the products rock, there's a huge selection of topics on virtually any niche you can think of... all delivered in licenced .wma or Real format, so anyone with a computer, an iPod, or mp3 player can instantly enjoy these fine audio books, at their leisure...

Second, you don't have to recruit, to earn nice money, you can simply sell these real products to real people, and they will be glad to have them to listen to...

Third, the commissions you can earn, are much higher than normal, and I really like that.

Fourth, it's so easy to set up a website and dominate any niche you choose, because the training is so good, it makes it easy to get started right away.

Fifth, I don't have any of the order filling problems, of offering a real product, Leisure Audio Books, has it handled, for me. Lucky me;~)

With Leisure Audio Books, I feel at completely at ease offering anyone hi quality hi fidelity products and the diversity is astounding! They have over 6000 titles meticulously sorted into 160 categories in a feature- packed store.

I had no idea know that there are at least 50,000 identifiable niche markets that can be independently addressed in the search engines for audio books! I do know now and I am out there selling... and for the first time it is working!!!

Plus it's a huge relief to have the experts, Rod and Kevin helping me succeed, I almost feel like I have a huge "cheat" over everyone else, because I'm a part of a caring organization, who really coach, and really train, and really want me, and you, to succeed, no matter what the skill level.

So, I would have to sum it up like this, if you're tired of an endless line of hype, smoke and mirrors, and you'd like to gain traction, start making a financial difference in your family's lifestyle, and have a legitimate, honest, real way to make money online...you owe it to yourself to check out Leisure Audio Books.

Don't believe me, I'm a happy member, and of course I'm biased, so do a check on Rod and Kevin, and I'm sure you'll find the truth is that they are for real, and these are great products that virtually sell themselves.

I recommend that you see for yourself - GO RIGHT NOW, and take in the information presented on the website: http://10557.leisureaudiosales.com

Feature Article: Make the Leap to Affiliate Marketing Success

Make the Leap to Affiliate Marketing Success by Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy

If you are going to become a successful affiliate on the Internet, you need 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

===> Intangible 1 <===

First, you must have a strong WHY.

Why must you make affiliate marketing work? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in this business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

===> Intangible 2 <===

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to make money with affiliate programs or make your living on the Internet, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money online. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of them) are making money online with affiliate programs. Just get online and do some research and you'll find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting easier and easier to make money online with affiliate programs.

I've always said that "affiliate marketing" is the job of the future. In the "old" days, you had to go to a potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new working class. Believe me, making money with affiliate programs or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now. Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's already here TODAY.

===> Intangible 3 <===

You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.

Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with affiliate marketing.

That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is the Internet is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be IN THE RING to truly understand it.

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start an affiliate marketing business. You simply have to start one. This is what I call "Making the Leap."

The good news is that the cost of failure on the Internet is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100. The Plug-In Profit Site is a great example of this.

You simply need get IN THE GAME... Each moment that you stay "out there," you're wasting valuable time that you could be learning and skills necessary to become a successful affiliate marketer. In fact, if you're not in the game yet, you're ALREADY behind the times. Make the leap to becoming a successful affiliate marketer today!
